On Saturday 12th October at 6pm (GMT+1 hour) myself and the lovely Rose Bard will be presenting at the Reform Symposium Conference (RSCON4).

“A free online three day event bringing together educators, students and innovators from around the world”.

The conference has something for everyone with over 100 presenters from all over the world and an opening plenary by the inspiring Sugata Mitra who will speak about The Future of Learning

Our presentation topic is:

Virtual Exchange Projects: Motivating teens to communicate.

We will be explaining the hows/whys and whats of a virtual classroom exchange that we did earlier this year between my (former) students in South Korea and Rose’s in Brazil. You can see an interview here with Bruno Andrade giving some more information.

Rose has also written a great summary here  so I won’t repeat that, I just wanted to say that I am very excited about presenting at RSCON4 firstly because it will be great to share this exciting project and secondly because it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with more teachers from all around the world.

Hope to see you there 🙂

ROSE BARD - Teaching Journal

“The more radical the person is, the more fully he or she enters into reality so that, knowing it better, he or she can transform it. This individual is not afraid to confront, to listen, to see the world unveiled.― Paulo Freire
